Jorgensen doubles up in target shoot

Warracknabeal Gun Club held its November shoot on Saturday in perfect conditions.

Warracknabeal Gun Club held its November shoot on Saturday in perfect conditions.

The first event on the program was a 40-target double-barrel continental championship.

Overall and AA grade shooter Chris Jorgensen from Horsham shot 40/40 and runner-up in AA grade was Viv Moore from Queensland with 38/40.

First in A grade was Peter Mellington with 38/40 and runner-up to Peter was Dean Vogel with 34/40.

In B grade, Paul Schilling shot 39/40 and runner-up was Bruce Dean with 38/40.

C grade saw Maurice Smith 31/40 victorious over Bruce Papst 28/40.

The second event was a 40-target points cash divide.

Chris Jorgensen and Viv Moore shot a perfect 120/120 to take out AA grade.

In A grade Peter Mellington shot 116/120 and Dean Vogel was runner-up with 114/120.

Gary Pike was the winner of B grade with 117/120 and Doug Harris shot 115/120 as runner-up.

C grade was won by Maurice Smith again, shooting 97/120, and runner-up to Maurice was Bruce Papst on 91/120.
