Fire vehicle repairs 'fast-tracked' by state government
THE Victorian Government was scrambling late last week to organise the repair of more than 300 firefighting vehicles used by Forest Fire Management Victoria and the Department of Environment, Energy, and Climate Action.
As fire season looms, more than 300 firefighting vehicles across Victorian sidelined after chassis cracks found. However, the state government says repairs are being fast-tracked within two months and extra trucks sourced if needed.
